Letter from President

Hello Everyone,
It is with mixed emotions that I write the last newsletter of year of 2010-2011. I am so proud of all that the club offered and accomplished this year but I am also sad that this is my last President’s letter as my term ends in June. I have really enjoyed being the President of such a dynamic and diverse club. During this past year there were many accomplishments including; changing the name of the club along with the website and newsletter, automating new member registration and renewals and introducing some new activity groups. All of these achievements could not have been accomplished without the help of the hardworking board of 2010-2011. I would especially like to thank those members who have served their 2 years and are finished serving on the board.

            Vice President                Lisa DiAntonio
            Treasurer                        Anda Van Buren
            Membership                   Colleen Ayres
            Secretary                        Holly Vietzke-Lynch
            Publicity                         Karen Nichol
            Newsletter                     Maria Seville

I would also like to thank all the activity chairs who did a great job running some fun activities throughout the year for us. A special thank you to the activity chairs who have served the club and will be stepping down from their positions:
            Empty Nester                Susan Miller
            Friendship Circle           Beth Mittelman
Moms & Tots - Fall        Kate McMillan
Moms & Tots - Winter   Jennifer Pulsifer
Moms & Tots - Spring    Stephanie Howard
            Directory Mailer             Becky Washburn

Thank you to all the Board and Activity Chairs who will stay on and serve the club for another year. I would especially like to thank Diane Soghigian for accepting the role of President for 2011-2012. A former resident of Arlington, mom of 2 little girls, and wife to a North Andover native, she organized the home coffees for moms and tots and took over the newsletter this past year. She was an integral part of the board and a great asset to the club. She brings with her years of entrepreneurial experience, a contagious enthusiasm and extreme motivation. One of her first tasks will be to get a jump on the renewal process which should go very smoothly this year because members can join and renew completely online. Please watch your email for more information about renewal.

I am sad to say goodbye but I know that I am leaving the club in great hands and very excited to see all the fun and exciting things Diane has planned for next year. Thank you all for supporting the club and I look forward to seeing you all at our fun summer events.

Thanks for a great year,
